Frequently asked questions
What is Unicorn Art Club?
The art investor club of Unicorn Private LLC: for each of 30 masters of modern and post-war art there is a club deal, in which members gather capital and the experts then select and buy one work by that artist.
Is it the same membership as Unicorn Club?
No. Unicorn Art Club has its own account, database and subscription, separate from Unicorn Club.
Who can join?
Accredited or qualified investors under the laws of their country. A short questionnaire confirms residence and investor type before any investment.
How much is the minimum?
USD 100,000 per member and per artist. US residents: USD 200,000 for individuals and USD 1,000,000 for entities.
Who chooses the work?
The experts of Unicorn Private, within the price range indicated for each artist, only among works with verified provenance, a condition report and an appraisal.
What if no suitable work is found?
The selection window lasts 12 months. If no suitable work is found within that time, the capital paid in is returned.
Where is the work kept?
In an insured art storage facility, held by the vehicle (SPV) of that artist.
When does the investment end?
The expected exit is between 3 and 7 years, through an auction or a private sale. The terms are set in the offering documents.
How do I pay?
Membership: store subscription in the apps; card, crypto or bank wire on the website. Investments: only bank wire or crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC).
What are the costs?
Membership (99 USD per month or 890 USD per year, not invested). Unicorn Private takes only 20% of the gain on the sale of the work, with no annual management fee. Custody, insurance and appraisals are borne by the artist's vehicle, from the capital raised and in proportion to the shares, estimated at 0.5% to 1.5% per year of the value of the work. Purchase of the work, setup and management of the vehicle and the sale at exit are actual costs of the artist's vehicle, paid at cost from the capital raised with no markup: each member sees the detail in the vehicle documents.
Risk: Investing involves the risk of losing capital.
